Transitional period Large covered Bowl 17thC- 18thC Eight immortals theme. Etsy.com Authentic or not?

Hi, everyone!

An opinion on this Chinese antique porcelain bowl would be much appreciated: https://www.etsy.com/dk-en/listing/596537232/beautiful-and-rare-transitional-period
The most important question, of course, is whether it is authentic?
Is it really 17th – 18th century?
If yes, is it worth the price the seller asks for it?
Many thanks!

Regards, Ingrid

This is one of the worst-quality fakes I have seen in years. Neither decoration nor color is right. My guess is that someone tried to copy a Jiajing Emperor piece here. Did not succeed though.
The seller apparently refers to the Ming to Qing Transitional Period (1620-1683). However, this bowl has nothing to do with that period. To cut the long story short, it is a piece of low-quality, contemporary fake. Not even close to a replica. Price? Less than 1% of the asking price. I wouldn’t pay this con artist a single penny.

I came across this photo of this bowl. I am unsure of what motivated the answer of ZZZ. Basically, because his answer was based on one photo. No reputable appraiser would ever base an opinion on one photo. No decent person would call another a liar and a con artist based on one photo. For what it is worth… In my opinion, this is an interesting piece. Get in touch with the seller and get more info and show the next “expert” you consult more than one photo. That is if the seller has more. Good luck Ingrid.
